Newsflash

Vessel Safety Checks are performed periodically throughout the year to help you ensure that your vessel meets the minimum safety standards to be operated within our state.

To schedule an inspection, please contact any member of the bridge and we shall see what we can do to facilitate your request.

Arrange your inspection today, and you can proudly display your 2007 VSC decal

Safe boaters get VSCs

Safe boating doesn’t just happen. It comes about through education.

USPS members are “ambassadors of safe boating,” so it’s important that we share our knowledge with others. Talk to your fellow boaters about the educational opportunities and discounts available to USPS members.

And while you’re at it, tell them how important it is to have a yearly vessel safety check. I encourage all USPS members to get a VSC to ensure they have at least the minimum safety equipment on board. Of course, no one can guarantee you won’t have an accident aboard, but a solid USPS boating education and a vessel safety check go a long way toward making the waters safe for everyone.

Your squadron VSC chairman can put you in touch with a local vessel examiner, or click here to find an examiner near you.
